JEE Advanced is the second stage of the JEE examination system for admission to prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, and other top engineering institutes. Conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis, JEE Advanced tests deep conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Advanced syllabus is more advanced than JEE Main, requiring deeper conceptual understanding and mathematical rigour. Topics are from Class 11 and 12 NCERT but questions test application at much higher level.
JEE Advanced consists of TWO compulsory papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of 3 hours duration. BOTH papers are mandatory for ranking.
