AIIMS Kalyani

Established in 2019, AIIMS Kalyani is one of the newest additions to India's premier network of medical institutes under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. It operates from a transit campus at the Kalyani University premises while its permanent 100-acre campus in Ghoshpara is under development. The institute currently offers the MBBS program with an annual intake of 100 students, utilizing a competency-based curriculum that integrates early clinical exposure. Its academic framework is supported by affiliations with nearby district hospitals for practical training. The developing permanent site is designed to include a 960-bed tertiary care hospital, a medical college, a nursing college, and student hostels. This strategic expansion aims to enhance specialized healthcare access in the state of West Bengal and contribute to the regional medical workforce.
